The challenge

Three products for very different settings: semi-trained health workers in rural Nigeria with no reliable connectivity, respiratory specialists who needed objective lung-sound records, and US dental practices looking for new patients.

What the system had to handle

  • Clinical workflows that run fully offline and sync later
  • Sensitive health data stored and shared securely
  • Guided steps that semi-trained staff can follow
  • Two-sided experiences for practices and patients

Our role

End-to-end technology partner on all three products: solution design, rules engine and offline-first Android app for FFGH; audio capture engine and guided recording for Krakel; web, mobile and backend platform for Plutus.

How it works

Offline diagnosis in rural Nigeria (FFGH)
  1. 1IntakePatient details on a low-cost tablet
  2. 2Rules engineSymptom-to-diagnosis flows by age group
  3. 3ChecklistsDiagnosis, treatment, referral, follow-up
  4. 4Secure local storageWorks with no connectivity
  5. 5Auto-syncRecords sync when a connection returns
  6. 610-day follow-upCycle enforced for every case
