This policy explains how Metapointer collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit www.metapointer.com, contact us, or apply for a job with us. We have written it to be read, not just to comply.
1. Who we are
"Metapointer", "we", "us" and "our" mean Metapointer Labs Private Limited, a company registered in India, with its office in Hyderabad. For personal information collected through this website, we decide why and how it is used. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 we are the "Data Fiduciary". Under the GDPR we are the "controller".

- To understand how the website is used and improve it, if you have accepted analytics cookies.
- To keep the website secure, prevent misuse and meet legal obligations.
We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not use it for targeted advertising, profiling or automated decisions that affect you.
4. Legal basis
Where Indian law applies, we process personal information for the purpose you provided it for, with your consent where required, and for legitimate uses permitted by the DPDP Act. Where the EU or UK GDPR applies, we rely on:
- Legitimate interests, to reply to business enquiries and run our business;
- Steps before a contract, when you ask us about working together or apply for a job;
- Consent, for analytics cookies, which you can withdraw at any time;
- Legal obligation, where a law requires us to keep or disclose information.
5. Who we share it with
We share personal information only with providers that help us operate, under contracts that require them to protect it and use it only on our instructions:

We honor browser privacy signals such as Global Privacy Control by treating them as a refusal of analytics cookies.
9. How we protect it
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), restrict access to people who need it, use providers with recognized security practices, and review access regularly. No system is completely secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities where the law requires.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct or complete inaccurate information;
- delete your information;
- restrict or object to how we use it;
- transfer it to you or another organization in a portable format;
- withdraw consent you have given, at any time;
- nominate another person to exercise your rights if you cannot (India).
Email info@metapointer.com with the subject "Privacy request". We will confirm receipt and respond within 30 days, or sooner where the law requires. We may need to verify your identity first. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.
California and other US states. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Residents of states with privacy laws may use the rights above through the same contact.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to your data-protection authority: in India, the Data Protection Board of India; in the EU, your national supervisory authority; in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office.

12. Data we process for clients
When we build or support software for a client, we may handle personal information that belongs to that client's users. In that work we act on the client's instructions, as a "Data Processor" (India) or "processor" (GDPR), under our contract with the client. This policy does not cover that data. Please contact the client concerned.
13. Children
This website is for businesses and job applicants. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
14. Other websites
Our site links to other websites, such as LinkedIn and PropToll. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit them.
15. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when our practices or the law change, and show the date of the latest version at the top. For significant changes, we will make the update clear on this page.
